DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES/KNOWLEDGE
Group Class and Personal Training
• Deliver a variety of group fitness classes aligned with the resort’s programming needs.
• Teach Yoga and/or Pilates classes where qualified, as part of the weekly group schedule.
• Deliver additional formats such as Spinning and music-based classes (e.g. Step cardio-based
formats) where certified.
• Conduct personal training sessions based on clients’ goals, fitness levels, and movement needs.
• Build strong professional relationships with guests and members to encourage consistency and
engagement.
• Conduct initial client assessments and track progress using appropriate outcome measures and
session notes.
Retreats & Special Programs
• Assist with the implementation and delivery of fitness retreats and camps.
• Support retreat scheduling, setup, and on-site execution of sessions.
• Attend and participate in retreat-related activities where required, including guest meals and
engagement moments, contributing to a seamless guest experience.
• Contribute ideas and support for new retreat concepts and special initiatives.
Guest Experience & Daily Operations
• Coordinate training schedules with the Fitness Manager.
• Ensure classes and personal training sessions are properly prepared and delivered.
• Set up and store equipment before and after sessions.
• Ensure guest safety during all activities and training sessions.
• Assist with daily gym operations, including bookings, member support, and facility upkeep.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper maintenance of fitness equipment and training areas.
Program & Department Support
• Support the development and delivery of fitness programs, challenges, and seasonal initiatives.
• Assist with group class planning and schedule adjustments when required.
• Track and report class attendance and client progress to the Fitness Manager.
• Participate in workshops, seminars, and ongoing professional development.
• Collaborate with other resort departments to support integrated fitness and wellness experiences.
SALES AND MARKETING SUPPORT
• Provide photos and short video content of training sessions and classes for marketing use.
• Support the Sales & Marketing team with fitness-related content and initiatives.
• Promote relevant fitness products and services offered by the resort.
REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Fitness Coach, Personal Trainer, or Group Class Instructor.
• Recognized fitness certification required.
• Yoga and/or Pilates certification strongly preferred.
• Additional certifications (e.g. TRX, mobility, functional training, recovery-based training) are an
advantage.
• Experience in a hospitality or resort environment is beneficial.
• CPR, AED, and First Aid certified.
• Strong foundational fitness knowledge with the ability to coach diverse populations.
• Comfortable delivering both traditional fitness classes and mind–body-based sessions.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Organized, reliable, and adaptable in a dynamic resort environment.
• Calm and professional under pressure.
• Fluent in English (Thai language skills are an advantage).
