Cashier

Position Purpose Handle billing and receive payments accurately and professionally to ensure guest satisfaction and minimize losses. Support the Food & Beverage team with service, preparation, clearing, and cleaning during peak times. Key Responsibilities • Handle guest billing and payments according to hotel policies and procedures. • Follow procedures for payments, credit, house funds, and shift handover. • Ensure sufficient stocks of checks, printed materials, and stationery. • Verify postings made by wait staff and make necessary amendments according to hotel procedures. • Account for all guest checks, including voided and cancelled checks. • Verify room number and guest name before posting charged bills. • Balance all transactions with the computer total at the end of each shift. • Report any problems during the shift to the Manager on Duty. • Keep the cashier workstation clean and tidy. • Assist the Food & Beverage service team during peak times. • Perform other duties as assigned. • Follow health, safety, brand standards, and local policies and regulations. Qualifications & Requirements • High School or Vocational Certificate in Hotel Management, Food & Beverage, or related field. • Cash handling and food service experience preferred. • Able to read and write English. • Good customer service and interpersonal skills. • Able to interact professionally with guests, employees, and third parties.
