Job Description (English) Job Title: Spa Manager Department: Spa Reports To: General Manager / Director of Operations ???? Job Purpose To lead, manage, and strategically develop the overall operations of the Spa & Wellness department in accordance with luxury brand standards and local regulations. This role acts as the legally registered Certified Spa Manager under Thai law, ensuring full compliance while driving revenue, managing financial performance, and delivering exceptional, holistic wellness experiences to guests. ???? Key Responsibilities 1. Legal Compliance & Licensing Act as the legally registered "Certified Spa Manager" for the property, ensuring strict compliance with the Thailand Health Establishment Act B.E. 2559 (2016). Maintain the highest standards of hygiene, sanitation, safety, and maintenance throughout all spa and wellness facilities. Verify and audit the valid certifications and licenses of all Therapists and Wellness instructors before deployment. 2. Spa & Wellness Operations Management Develop, implement, and refresh the spa treatment menu and holistic wellness programs (e.g., yoga, meditation, sound therapy, and fitness activities) to align with global wellness trends. Oversee the daily operations, ensuring all team members adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and luxury service protocols. Manage guest booking systems, therapist scheduling (roster), and inventory control of professional and retail products. 3. Financial & Revenue Drive Prepare the department's annual budget, monitor Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, and implement effective cost-control measures. Collaborate with the Sales & Marketing team to design targeted promotions, capturing both in-house guests and local external markets. Maximize retail revenue through strategic product placement, sales incentives, and staff training. 4. Team Leadership & Talent Development Partner with the HR Department in recruitment, talent retention, and performance evaluations for all spa and wellness staff. Design and execute comprehensive On-the-Job Training (OJT) plans focusing on advanced treatment techniques, product knowledge, and guest relations. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Health Science, or a related field. Required License: Must possess a valid Spa Manager License certified by the Department of Health Service Support (HSS), Ministry of Public Health, Thailand. Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Spa Manager or Assistant Spa Manager in a 4/5-star hotel or luxury resort. Proven experience in managing multi-functional Wellness programs is highly preferred. Key Competencies: Deep knowledge of global wellness trends, holistic therapies, anatomy basics, and luxury spa product lines. Excellent command of English (spoken and written) for guest interaction and corporate reporting.
