-DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervises and leads all maintenance processes and operations.
- Recruits, interviews, hires and trains new associates according to company standards.
- Tracks expenses and oversees the budget for maintenance.
- Reviews work orders, checklists, and other documentation to ensure that the work was performed correctly.
- Evaluates employee performance and conducts disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Assigns tasks to employees based on their skills and training, ensuring that they are working safely, and providing feedback to help them improve their performance.
- Oversees the work of employees in order to ensure that all tasks are completed on time and within budget constraints.
- Maintains all machinery to ensure it’s at working standards.
- Creates and implements maintenance procedures.
- Conducts regular inspections of the facilities to detect and resolve problems.
- Plans and manages all repair and installation activities.
- Ensures all department workers adhere to safety policies and procedures.
- Assigns repair schedules and evaluates repair cost estimates.
- Documents and prepares daily progress reports and maintenance logs.
- Oversees equipment stock and places orders for new supplies when necessary.
- Focuses on energy-saving solutions.
- Creates and executes Standard Operations - Procedures for the Department.
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, facility management, or a similar field is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years experience in maintenance.
- Previous managerial experience is a bonus.
- Good understanding of the technical features of plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems.
- Strong knowledge of facilities machines and equipment.
- Excellent organisational and leadership abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- A high level of passion for succeeding and a strong group of self-motivation
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision or cohesively as a team
- Ability to be a clear thinker, analyse and resolve problems exercise good judgment
- Ability to remain calm and courteous with demanding/difficult situations
- Ability to work flexible hours, covering evenings, weekends and holiday periods
- A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Has to have a hands-on approach
