Chief Accountant** is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Finance & Accounting department, ensuring complete financial accuracy, integrity, and strict compliance with Accor standards and local statutory regulations. This role manages general ledger accounting, financial reporting, tax compliance, internal controls, and monthly closing procedures across the property. Working closely with the Cluster Financial Controller , this position leads the accounting team, enforces sound internal financial controls, manages cash flow and coordinates with internal and external auditors. The Chief Accountant plays a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records and driving financial efficiency to support the hotel’s commercial objectives. --- ### **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** 1. Financial Reporting & Month-End Closing:** Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes. Prepare accurate balance sheet reconciliations, income statements, and financial reporting packages in accordance with Accor guidelines and USALI standards. 2. General Ledger & Accounting Operations:** Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, general cashiering, income audit, and payroll accounting functions to ensure all transactions are processed timely and accurately. 3. Taxation & Compliance:** Ensure full compliance with all local tax laws, statutory requirements, and government filings (e.g., VAT, WHT, Corporate Income Tax, Social Security). Act as the primary liaison for external auditors and tax authorities. 4. Internal Controls & Cash Management:** Maintain robust internal financial controls, monitor daily cash flow, perform bank reconciliations, and safeguard the property's financial assets. 5. Audit & Asset Management:** Coordinate internal and external audit processes, ensure prompt resolution of audit findings, and maintain the accuracy of the hotel’s fixed asset register. 6. Team Leadership & Development:** Supervise, train, and mentor the accounting team, promoting a culture of accuracy, continuous improvement, and professional development within the department. --- **YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES** 1. Minimum 3–5 years of hotel accounting experience**, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting or Assistant Chief Accountant role within hospitality. 2. Degree in Accounting or Finance**; CPA or local professional accounting certification is an advantage. 3. Strong expertise in USALI (Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry)** and local tax regulations/statutory reporting. 4. Proficiency in hospitality finance and ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. 5. High level of analytical skill**, attention to detail, and sound ethical judgment. 6. Good command of English and Thai**, both written and spoken. 7.
