ABOUT THE ROLE
THE Cluster Purchasing Manager – Mövenpick Resort Kamala Beach & Mercure Phuket Patong Journeyhub is responsible for leading, directing, and executing overall procurement and supply chain operations across both properties. The role focuses on strategic sourcing, vendor contract negotiations, cost optimization, inventory control, and ensuring strict compliance with Accor procurement standards across food & beverage, operating supplies & equipment (OS&E), engineering, and general hotel operations.
This position will play a dual-impact role: overseeing day-to-day procurement efficiency at the operational Mercure Phuket Patong Journeyhub while leading end-to-end pre-opening procurement activities, vendor onboarding, and initial setup for the upcoming Mövenpick Resort Kamala Beach.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Pre-Opening Procurement Leadership: Direct initial FF&E, OS&E, and operating inventory setup for Mövenpick Resort Kamala Beach, working closely with Project Managers, General Managers, and Accor Corporate Procurement.
2. Cluster Operations Management: Oversee purchasing workflows (PR/PO), supplier deliveries, and stock management for Mercure Phuket Patong Journeyhub while aligning both properties to shared volume-discount contracts.
3. Vendor & Contract Negotiation: Source, evaluate, and negotiate with local and international suppliers to secure optimal pricing, favorable payment terms (Credit Terms), and quality guarantees across both hotels.
4. Cost & Budget Control: Perform spend analytics, track market commodity prices, and collaborate with Financial Controllers to maintain budget integrity during both operational and pre-opening phases.
5. Compliance & Audit: Enforce Accor procurement policies, local food safety laws, hygiene regulations, and internal audit requirements across all purchasing operations.
6. Sustainability & Team Development: Build and lead a high-performing cluster purchasing team while implementing Accor ESG initiatives (e.g., local sourcing, eco-friendly packaging, eliminating single-use plastics).
YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES
1. Minimum 5–8 years of hotel purchasing experience, with preferred background in a cluster or multi-property role.
2. Proven pre-opening hotel experience is required (setting up new OS&E/FF&E vendor matrix and inventory systems).
3. Strong knowledge of the Phuket market, local supplier networks, and resort/urban hospitality supply chains.
4. Experience managing midscale and premium brands (e.g., Mercure & Mövenpick or equivalent Accor/branded properties).
5. Proficiency in hospitality ERP systems (e.g., Materials Control, Sun Systems, or equivalent) and advanced Excel / data analysis skills.
6. Excellent negotiation, leadership, and communication skills in English and Thai.
